It started with a simple idea

“As a member of the crew, I have taken many shots of boating scenes in France, Spain, Italy, Turkey, Croatia and around the UK. It has always been my frustration that wonderful shots of others on boats are rarely, if ever seen by those actually on the boats featured!”

Boat2BoatPhotos.com now provides a single, worldwide, free to access place, where boating photographers can share great shots and where sailors or motor boaters can see and purchase pictures of their own boat or the shots of others on the water - easily and inexpensively.
Photographers (amateur and professionals) register to upload their range of images to the database. While boaters can search and locate their photos and purchase a down load of one or more shots- usually from a range of quality originals.

How does Boat2BoatPhotos work?

STEP 1 Take good (digital please) shots of any nice boats you see on the water
STEP 2 Register * each shot and then upload them to our site / Gallery
STEP 3 When we sell your images on, we share the credit with you
STEP 4 Tell friends to use boat2boatphotos.com to share boat pictures amongst boaters!

*Registration simply identifies you as the owner or authorised supplier of any photo/s being added to the web site gallery.

The Photography does not have to be brilliant- so don’t panic on quality- all shots have some merit and rare shots of boats on water or at sea are always valuable to the boat owner and the crew on board. Interestingly, until Boat2BoatPhotos it was very rare for owners to have any ‘at sea’ image of their own boat.

Registration for new photographers is an essential pre-load process- a once only, easy, well automated “fill in the blanks” process that simply identifies the owner or authorised supplier of any photo/s being added to the web site gallery. Once initial registration and an annual small fee is accepted then future digital uploads are fast and easily tracked and protected as your images. New Photographers Information

Selling images. All Boat2BoatGallery photos are as digital images and are for sale 'for private use only' in a choice of qualities. Any selected photosare 'purchased on hire' and downloaded by the buyer / customer onto their PC or Mac - and they pay a small single fee for private use of this digital image. There is no commercial usage permission released in such a download. For charges and quality choices refer to our Boat2Boat Fees

Spread the word This is more a service than a business and we have a light touch commerical interest in the business. It is a simple service and will only succeed if boaters and photographers of boats tell others about the service and add to the galleries to expand and grow the collections and provide more images for more boaters. It is an ‘exchange’ rather than a ‘sales’ business.
